Race Description:

Expedition Wild West invites adventure racing teams from across the world to discover why Utah is one of the most spectacular racing environments on the planet. Set against the dramatic backdrop of Salt Lake City, teams of four will navigate over 4.5 days through the rugged Uinta and Wasatch Mountains, high desert canyons, and remote alpine backcountry that only the American West can deliver.

Competitors will trek through isolated wilderness, mountain bike a world-class network of singletrack, paddle pristine waterways, and navigate technical fixed-rope sections — a true test of teamwork, navigation, and endurance across some of Utah's most iconic mountain ranges.
Expedition Wild West is an ARWS Demonstration Race — making it the perfect stepping stone for teams ready to compete on the world stage. Designed and directed by race directors with years of international racing experience, you are in great hands for a true adventure racing experience from start line to finish line.

Logistics are simple and affordable. Fly into Salt Lake City International Airport — a major hub with direct connections across North America and beyond — hop on the host hotel shuttle directly to Race HQ, and spend your prep days within easy biking distance of everything you need to gear up. Arrive Saturday, complete Racer Check-In Sunday, board the bus to the secret start location Monday morning, and cross the finish line in time for Friday's dinner and awards ceremony. Fly home Saturday refreshed — and already planning your return.
