Montane Adventure Race takes place in the Copenhagen area and gives the participants unique experiences in nature as they seek out spectacular features and complete challenges along the course. It's a team race where orienteering, running, mountain biking, climbing and canoeing (only the master route) are the main ingredients. The race is known for it's challenging navigation and innovative challenges, which have included tree climbing, and a checkpoint on a fighter jet!

The USARA National Championship has run since 2000 and this is the first visit to the Pacific Northwest & the first time the race is combined with the ARWS North American Championship.
