The Break Up Race is not named after your relationship status, but derived from the Spring thaw that occurs in Alaska. This race is the LONGEST running adventure race in Midwest, maybe the country!?? There is a reason it has been around the longest...it's just so DANG FUN!!
There are THREE courses to choose from:
Just a Little Breaking up: FUN COURSE! 2 Hour FAMILY FRIENDLY Course (all on foot)! Check in anytime (Wefald Pavilion) between 10am and 3 PM on March 18th and grab your map, and you're off! (no "times", just for fun!)
The Break Up: 6 Hours of running/trekking, biking (gravel, road, single track), and moderately challenging orienteering.
Mileage breakdown: 7-9 miles on foot (hiking/trekking/roads/trails) 25+ miles on bike (asphalt, gravel, trails) NO WATER COURSE!
The Break Up EXTREME: 12 Hours of Adventure Racing bliss! Includes all of the above, just a longer format (will include canoes/kayaks) This course will challenge EVERY SINGLE RACER!
