Race Description:

The MAGNIficent offers an adrenaline-pumping, eye popping expedition adventure race in the incredible scenery of New Zealand's South Island. The race is presented by the FEAR (Fiordland Expedition & Adventure Racing) Society in conjunction with Bend Racing with twin brothers Andy and Jason Magnes as Race Directors.

The MAGNIficent has an "unsupported" format to make it easier and more economical for teams, and more of a level playing field for international teams, and promises a unique a challenge for experienced adventure racing teams from across the globe.

The first race in 2025 was declared a by teams and followers around the world to be truly MAGNIFICENT.

Race winners Sardine Racing, said, "“The MAGNIficent lived up to its name, delivering 10/10 endurance, breathtaking views, and brutally rewarding terrain.”

Entry for the 2026 race will be open on Feb. 15th 2025.
