MALACARA 500 - AMAZONICA

Race Description:

The Malacara Expedition race returns in 2026 with a fabulous new destination for the Brazilian ARWS Qualifier - The Amazon.

The race will be based in the city of Manaus from May 8-17th and take teams deep into the forests and wetland of the Amazon rainforest on a 500k course. This will pass thorugh dense jungles, rushing rivers, and uneven terrain and participants will need to cope with intense heat, humidity, and encounters with exotic animals.

The Grandeur of the Forest: The Amazon, as one of the richest and most challenging ecosystems on the planet, will be the protagonist of this race, demanding physical, mental, and technical endurance from each team.

The Race Director will once again be Benito Brocca and as Brazil has one of the most thriving adventure racing communities there will be strong home and international competition.  This is an opportunity not to be missed!
