Race Description:

Adventure South Africa have a great track record of many years of staging Adventure Races and are a new member to ARWS Africa this year!

Part of adventure racing is the mystery that will only be solved on the day that you receive the maps. During this edition of the Hessequa Adventure Race, you will not be paddling but you will get wet! Expect to head up or down a kloof, find your own trails through wilderness areas and cycle up more rolling hills than you can count.

Our races are guaranteed to be tough but it is designed to be achievable in the allocated time. Shortened options will be available if you do not make certain cut-offs.

Unique to this year's event is the option to race as a 3-person team. There will not be a paddling leg, which means you don't have to pair up in boats.

The Race Director is Alfred Thorpe, and adventure lover and media professional who has followed and planned many races over the years in South Africa and further afield.  This year he will deliver a new 36 hour race in the Western Cape.
