“We already know women are tough, but now it’s time to show the world just what tough women can do.”

Adventure Racing is one of the most extreme sports in the world. Athletes race unsupported across the wilderness for multiple days, and traditionally, the ARWS has prioritised mixed gender teams. It’s the only team sport where female racers take part alongside their male team mates, but often there is often only one female in a team of 4.

At the Amazons Australia that will change! All-female teams of two will embark on a 3-day extreme adventure, combining trekking, navigation, mountain biking, paddling and mystery challenges to test their skills and resilience in the heart of Australia's rugged and brutal tropics.

They will battle mother nature’s dense rainforests, crocodile-inhabited rivers, unpredictable weather, fatigue, mental and physical challenges in a bid to be crowned Amazon Warriors.

Designed to bring elite adventure racers, athletes from other disciplines, adventurers, friends, politicians and mothers together on the same humbling playing field, The Amazons Australia promises to transcend boundaries and create life-changing bonds.
