Huairasinchi Welcomes Chery Himla As Title Partner In A New International Chapter

Ecuador's most important adventure race opens a new era backed by a globally expanding automotive brand.

Quito, Ecuador — Huairasinchi, a cornerstone of adventure racing in Ecuador and one of the most respected events on the Adventure Racing World Series (ARWS) circuit, is proud to announce Chery Himla as its new Title Partner for the next two years. The race will be officially known as Huairasinchi Chery Himla, marking a milestone in the history of adventure racing in the country.

Chery, an internationally recognized automotive brand with sustained global growth, joins through its Himla pickup truck — a product whose values of strength, exploration, and teamwork align naturally with the spirit of this race.

23 Years of History and a New Chapter Ahead

Santiago López, Race Director of Huairasinchi Chery Himla, shared his thoughts on this new partnership: "We are passionate about this sport and we have been betting on adventure in Ecuador for 23 years. 2026 is special because we are signing an alliance with a globally relevant brand like Chery through its Himla pickup. This partnership strengthens the development of Ecuador's most important adventure race and one of the most recognized in the world. New stories will be born from this race, and we are starting a fresh, exciting path with many more years of adventure ahead for Huairasinchi Chery Himla."
