Quito, Ecuador — Huairasinchi, a cornerstone of adventure racing in Ecuador and one of the most respected events on the Adventure Racing World Series (ARWS) circuit, is proud to announce Chery Himla as its new Title Partner for the next two years. The race will be officially known as Huairasinchi Chery Himla, marking a milestone in the history of adventure racing in the country.

23 Years of History and a New Chapter Ahead

An International Race on the World Stage
The 2026 edition of Huairasinchi Chery Himla, taking place from December 4 to 6, reaffirms its international standing. The 3-day category will serve as a qualifier for the ARWS Adventure Racing World Championship 2027 in Croatia, while the 24-hour category will act as a regional qualifier for the South American Adventure Racing Final in Paraguay 2027. The country's top teams will represent Ecuador at the two most prestigious events on the regional and world adventure racing calendar.
Four Categories for a More Inclusive Race
Huairasinchi Chery Himla embraces a wide range of athletic profiles through four competition formats:
8 hours - Pairs competitors, on foot only. The perfect entry point into adventure racing.
12 hours - 4-person teams combining mountain biking and trekking.
24 hours - 4-person teams with mountain biking, trekking, packrafting, and ropes. Regional qualifier for the South American Final, Paraguay 2027.
3 days - The elite format for the most experienced teams, with mountain biking, trekking, packrafting, and ropes. World qualifier for the ARWS World Championship, Croatia 2027.
